Due to the current economic climate and, more importantly the effect on our various sponsors we have postponed the event until the Spring of 2011.

The 2011 Bermuda Gourmet Getaway will deliver to its local and foreign attendees, sponsors and invited guests a superior, evolved, five-day event. It will encompass the best of past festivals combined with new events and locations, and enhanced value.

Bermuda’s famous pink-sand shores sizzled with the sixth annual Gourmet Getaway, hosted by winner of
Hell’s Kitchen TV Series Three, Rahman ‘Rock’ Harper. Rock’s love of cooking, extensive experience and infectious smile pleased all of our guests. This gastronomic adventure allowed attendees to get up-close-and-personal with some of the most celebrated chefs in the industry.

There will be a number of events scheduled over the five days including the ever popular Viking®“Village” where attendees watch live cooking demonstrations as well as sample a variety of food and wines, while your children are entertained in the “Kids' Village"; The 'BACARDI Taste Bermuda' event features the best of local cuisine; Grillin’ & Chillin’ at the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum & Zoo and the Chef & Winemaker Dinners where the international celebrity chefs pair with local chefs and overseas winemakers to create an exquisite meal at some of Bermuda’s top restaurants.

Also, Bermuda’s top chefs will compete in the ‘iron chef style’ Escoffier Cup Competition with the finals held
at the Viking®“Village;” The Iron Chef Team Competitions; the Tours and Organic Brunch on
Tom Wadson’s Farm, highlighting the relationship between locals chefs and farmers which is
so important to our island’s culture, and the weekend will come to a close with the Bermuda Culinary Arts Development Fund Golf Tournament, benefitting Bermuda's culinarian youths.
